HMD Skyline: The famous design in Nokia Lumia is now on Android! Coming with 108MP camera

HMD Global, maker of Nokia brand smartphones, has been trying to bring back the nostalgia with its devices lately. Last month, the company brought back the 90s classic Nokia 3210 smartphone with a modern twist. Now it is rumored that they will do the same with some other phones. The Finnish company has been rumored to be working on a new device called the HMD Skyline for a while now. And now the first renders have surfaced via sources, which are reminiscent of an old Nokia phone. Let's get into this in detail.

The first look of the HMD Skyline phone is here

One X (ex-Twitter) user shared the first renders of the phone codenamed HMD Skyline from his own account. The renders show a handset that is reminiscent of the Fabula design language first used on the Nokia N9 phone. Again, its bright yellow color brings back the nostalgia of the iconic Nokia Lumia 920 phone.

But while the design brings back the design language of older Nokia phones, its specifications are expected to be up-to-date. According to an earlier report, the Skyline will feature a modern FullHD+ OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to be powered by a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 chipset.

The rear panel of the HMD Skyline phone will feature a triple-camera system, housing a 108-megapixel sensor, an ultrawide lens and a macro/depth sensor. For selfies, the phone will feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. For leg backup, the HMD Skyline phone will feature a large 4,900mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Also, the HMD Skyline phone will have an IP67 rated chassis for dust and water resistance. It is also said to come with advanced features like an under-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers. In terms of software, the mobile phone is expected to run on Android 14 based custom skin. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of the HMD Skyline phone is expected to be priced at 520 Euros (roughly Rs. 46,700) and is expected to launch sometime in July.
