HMD is launching two new phones soon. They are called 'Skyline' and 'Nighthawk'. The Skyline will be a mid-range device and the Nighthawk will be available at an affordable price.
Finland-based popular smartphone maker, HMD Global is reportedly gearing up to launch a new mid-range smartphone named 'Skyline'. A publishing house in that country has now revealed the launch and sale date of this handset in their report. Apart from this, the company is also going to launch a more affordable smartphone named HMD Nighthawk. Let's find out what information has surfaced so far about the upcoming HMD Skyline and HMD Nighthawk models.
The launch timeline of HMD Skyline phone has been revealed
According to the latest reports, the upcoming HMD phone codenamed Skyline will be launched in July and will be available for sale at retailers on July 10. The Skyline will be launched as a premium device from the HMD brand, likely to be priced at €520 (roughly Rs. 47,120). It will be available in black color with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and will have dual-SIM support. The device is said to have the model number TA-1688.
Besides, not much information about the device has surfaced. But before Skyline, the code name of the phone is believed to be Tomcat. If the information is true, it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 chipset. It may feature a FullHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The rear panel of the HMD Skyline phone may feature a triple-camera system, which will consist of a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an ultrawide lens and a macro/depth sensor. For selfies, the handset will have a 32-megapixel camera on the front. Also, the HMD Skyline handset is expected to feature a 4,900mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, IP67 dust and water resistance, and Android 14 OS. Also, it will have an under-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers.
HMD Nighthawk is coming to the market soon
For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, HMD is also rumored to be working on a different device called the Nighthawk. It is expected to be less than 300 Euros (about Rs. 27,200).
The HMD Nighthawk phone will also have the same 120Hz refresh rate and FullHD+ resolution OLED display as the HMD Skyline phone. But it will use the less powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It will come with 8GB RAM and offer 128GB/256GB storage options.
For photography, the HMD Nighthawk model will feature a 108-megapixel main camera with an additional rear sensor and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It will use a powerful 5,000 mAh battery. Notably, the HMD Nighthawk phone will include a headphone jack and both devices will run Android 14 and offer stereo speakers.
