Great news, Nokia is not killing the smartphone business, this year will launch 17 new phones

Recently, HMD Global changed the name of NokiaMobile account to HMD on social media. The Finland-based company owned Nokia since 2016. But it is heard that their contract with Nokia brand has also expired recently. As a result, many thought that HMD wants to end Nokia’s tour. But actually the company took these strategic decisions as it focused on establishing the HMD brand as the new powerhouse in the smartphone industry. Along with this, the company will also sustain Nokia.

Nokia will launch a lot of phones this year

GSMChina claims in their report that 17 new Nokia phones are going to hit the market this year. The current official agreement between Nokia and HMD runs until 2026. This confirms that the iconic Nokia brand is not going away from the mobile phone market. The mentioned 17 Nokia phones have been approved by the IMEI certification platform. Their model codes are –

However, it is speculated that some of these may make their debut at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024) event.
