Google is planning to launch its latest smartphone series Pixel 8 in the fourth quarter of this year i.e. October. Like last year, the tech giant didn’t give a ‘preview’ or glimpse of the rumored lineup during the I/O 2023 tech conference. As a result, there is no information about what the devices in the series will look like or what features they might offer. However, some market research firms and tipsters have leaked design renders and some key features of Google’s upcoming flagship smartphones. And today famous tipster Yogesh Brar has leaked the Pixel 8 series price and specifications.
Google Pixel 8 5G smartphone price and specifications leaked ahead of launch
According to a report by tipster Yogesh Brar, the base model of Google’s upcoming smartphone lineup i.e. Pixel 8 5G (Pixel 8 5G) may be priced higher than its predecessor. Mainly because the upcoming device will be launched with multiple feature upgrades, so the price will be kept high. In that case, Google may launch the upcoming Pixel 8 5G model in their home market probably between $649 and $699. That means in India it can come in around Rs 53,600 to Rs 57,800. Incidentally, the price of Pixel 7 5G (Pixel 7 5G) was set at $599 (Tk 49,500) in America.
As we mentioned earlier, the Google Pixel 8 5G will be launched in the US in early October. And since the predecessor Pixel 7 series has already been announced in India, the successor is likely to be launched in the country as well. In this case, the upcoming Pixel 8 series may be available for purchase via e-commerce site Flipkart post-launch. Because the online shopping portal in question for India is Google’s official e-commerce partner.
Meanwhile, Yogesh Brar also mentioned in his report that the Pixel 8 5G smartphone will feature a 6.71-inch Full HD Plus OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 8GB of RAM. The base model of the R series will be launched with a total of two storage options, namely – 128GB and 256GB storage. This upcoming phone may come with Google’s own upcoming Tensor G3 chipset. This processor includes a prime Cortex X3 core, four Cortex-A715 cores and four Cortex-A510 cores.
As for the camera department, the device will offer a dual rear camera setup. These cameras are likely to be – a 50-megapixel Samsung GN2 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. And for selfies and video calling, the Pixel 8 5G will have an 11-megapixel front camera.
This upcoming Google handset will run on Android 14 operating system. Yogesh Brar has also claimed that it will have a 4,485 mAh capacity battery for power backup. This battery can support 24W fast charging and 12W wireless charging. In this regard, Google has long ago stopped providing charging adapters in the retail box that comes with their smartphones.
As a result, we will not be surprised if the charger is not provided with the Pixel 8 5G phone.
Incidentally, recently MySmartPrice published the design render of the Google Pixel 8 5G smartphone. According to the render images, the model in question will come with some minor design-related changes compared to its predecessor. Its edges will be more rounded and the frame will be curved. And the power button and volume rocker will be located on the right side of the device.
