Google is bringing three great phones to the Pixel 9 series, with images of each model revealed

Speculations have been rife for quite some time now that Google is planning to launch a more compact Pro model under its upcoming Pixel series. And now finally hands-on images of the two Pro models – Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL – have surfaced along with the standard Google Pixel 9 handset. However, the addition of two distinct Pro models to the Pixel series is not an entirely new approach, as rivals such as Apple have been following a similar strategy with the “Pro” and “Pro Max” models in their iPhone series for several years. Let's find out what information emerged from the leaked hands-on images of the upcoming Google Pixel 9 series.

In their report, Rosetag mentioned that there are three different models in the Google Pixel 9 series. These are Google Pixel 9 (Tokay), Google Pixel 9 Pro (Caiman) and Google 9 Pro XL (Komodo). According to Rosetta, the Pixel 9 phone will come with 12GB RAM + 128GB storage, while the Google Pixel 9 Pro model will get 16GB RAM + 128GB storage.

128GB is now considered as the minimum storage option in the smartphone market today. However, there will be an upgrade in terms of RAM capacity. The regular Google Pixel 9 will be available with 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 8 comes with only 8GB of RAM in all storage and RAM configurations.

It is also known that the regular Google Pixel 9 model will have a 6.24-inch screen, while the Google Pixel 9 Pro model will feature a 6.34-inch display. And the Pixel 9 Pro XL will come with a 6.73-inch screen. Considering that the current generation regular Google Pixel 8 phone has a 6.20-inch screen, it's worth noting that while Google will offer improved cameras in the upcoming phone, the compact size will remain the same. Also, the pixel density of the screen will be 425 ppi, 493 ppi and 487 ppi respectively. Also, the bezels on the Pixel 9 models will be slightly wider than the Pro models. However, all phone displays will support 120 Hz refresh rate.

While the standard Google Pixel 9 phone is said to come with a 0.5x and 1x dual-camera setup, the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL handsets will feature a triple-camera setup with 0.5x, 1x and 5x lenses. All cameras will have a resolution of 50 megapixels. While the Google Pixel 9 phone lacks Ultra Wide Band (UWB), both the Google Pixel 9 Pro and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL handsets will support it.
