Get more storage at a lower price, OnePlus has come up with new features

OnePlus launched its latest sub-flatship smartphone, the OnePlus 12R, in the Indian market earlier this year. The phone is available in two variants at launch – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 16GB RAM + 256GB storage. But now the company has added a new model to these two variants. It targets users who are looking for more storage space without spending too much money. The latest model of the OnePlus 12R offers 256 GB of storage along with 8 GB of RAM. It sits between the base 8GB + 128GB and the top-end 16GB + 256GB model and becomes a decent mid-range option for buyers. Let’s take a look at the price and other details of the new storage variant of the OnePlus 12R.

Launch is the new storage version of the OnePlus 12R

The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the OnePlus 12R has been priced at Rs 42,999. It can be purchased from OnePlus’ online platform, Amazon India as well as various offline stores. To attract buyers, OnePlus is also offering several deals. ICICI Bank Credit Card and OneCard users will get Rs 1,000 off. Those looking to exchange old devices can get a bonus of Rs 3,000, with an additional Rs 1,000 discount for OnePlus Nord series smartphone users. For a limited time, buyers will also get the OnePlus Buds Z2 earbuds for free with the new model of the OnePlus 12R.

Also, OnePlus is offering a 9-month no-cost EMI option and Jio benefits, which include a discount of Rs 150 per month for 15 months, which means a total savings of Rs 2,250.

Specifications of OnePlus 12R:

The OnePlus 12R features a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED display, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and has an in-screen fingerprint scanner embedded in it. The screen offers 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus 12R is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on Android 14 based OxygenOS 14 custom skin and the company has promised to provide three major Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates.

For photography, the OnePlus 12R has a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. And for selfies and video calling, there is a 16-megapixel front camera on the front of the phone. For power backup, the OnePlus 12R uses a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging support. Additional features of the phone include a dual speaker setup, an IR blaster, Near Field Communication (NFC) and IP65-rated chassis.
