From the processor to the battery, there will be no room for complaints, Redmi is taking big steps

Redmi launched the Redmi K70 series in November last year with Xiaomi’s new software, HyperOS, running on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Pro variant) processor. It has a 2K AMOLED panel with 4,000 nits peak brightness. The series had a starting price of just 2,499 Yuan (roughly Rs. 28,830) at the time of launch last year. Currently the company has started working on its successor models. And now a tipster has leaked important information about the battery, processor and display of the Redmi K80 series. The source claims that the upcoming lineup will use the new Snapdragon 8-series chipset.

Redmi K80 series battery, processor and display specifications

A Chinese tipster had earlier reported that the company is focusing on premium hardware for the Redmi K-series and as a result only two models could be launched this year – Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro. And the successor to the affordable Redmi K80E could be launched under the Redmi Note series.

Now the same tipster has mentioned that the development of the Redmi K80 series has been accelerated. It will have a massive 5,500 mAh battery, which is 500 mAh more than its predecessor. Talking about the display, the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro will support 2K resolution. However, the tipster did not specify the maximum brightness level. However, industry trends suggest that it may support higher brightness levels than before.

According to the tipster, the Redmi K80 series will come with different processors in the standard and Pro models. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be used respectively. This was also seen earlier in the case of the Redmi K70 series. The Standard and Pro models in the lineup are powered by the SD8G2 and SD8G3 chipsets. Also, the Redmi K80 is said to come with a glass back and metal frame

If, the use of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in the Redmi K80 series is true, then it will not hit the market before October. Because the flagship Snapdragon chip is supposed to be launched in October. The Redmi K80 lineup is likely to be unveiled by next November.
