Xiaomi is currently said to be working on two foldable phones for the Chinese market, namely the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and the Xiaomi Mix Flip. Among these, the Mix fold 4 phone may be launched in the market next month (July), as it has already received approval from the China Compulsory Certification (3C) platform. The Xiaomi Mix Flip is likely to launch alongside the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 model as it was also spotted with 3C certification last month. And now, courtesy of a well-known tipster, some important information about the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Flip has surfaced. Let's take a look at them.
The design and main specifications of the Xiaomi Mix Flip phone came out
Tipster Digital Chat Station reported that the Xiaomi Mi Mix Flip model will have a larger cover display and the screen can be rotated for the convenience of both left- and right-handed users. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is currently the most powerful in the market. This chipset will offer about 50 percent increased performance compared to other flip-style foldable phones and will also come with advanced AI capabilities.
Digital chat station also revealed a schematic of the Xiaomi Mix Flip. The design shows that its cover display is quite large, which can be around 4 inches like the cover screen of Honor Magic V Flip. Also, the rear panel features dual rings, with the LED flash and a camera on the top and the second rear camera on the bottom ring. Notably, it will be the only foldable phone that can add an external earpiece. This will increase the performance of the phone.
In terms of photography, the Xiaomi Mix Flip foldable phone is going to come with some standout specifications in its category and will also offer superior camera performance. As per an earlier report, the device will sport a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support and a 60-megapixel OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Although no information is available on its battery size at the moment, it is expected to support 67W fast charging. Notably, the launch schedule of the Xiaomi Mix Flip phone has changed, it is rumored to be available sooner than initially expected. The device is likely to hit the market in July.
