Free from pre-loaded apps, Motorola brings new phones with stock Android, launch soon

Motorola recently unveiled its latest Flip smartphone series in India. The lineup includes the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra models. After the unveiling of these premium foldable devices, the brand is currently gearing up for the launch of an affordable smartphone called the Moto G14. It is the successor to the much-acclaimed Moto G13, which hit the market in January And now the Moto G14 has been spotted on the FCC certification site, indicating that its launch is imminent. Moto G14 gets FCC clearance

The Moto G14 phone with model number XT2341-3 has been listed on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) site. This model number matches the model number of the Moto G14 variant found in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database. The FCC listing confirms that this phone will be a 4G smartphone that will support 2G, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. The Moto G14 is expected to run on Android 13 based operating system, which is likely to offer a near stock Android experience.

The FCC database also revealed that the Moto G14 will come with a 20-watt charging adapter with model number XT2341-3. Notably, the previous Indian version of the Moto G13 only supported 10W fast charging, while the global model came with 20W fast charging technology. Since the listing didn’t reveal additional specifications, let’s take a look at the specifications of its predecessor, the Moto G13, to get an idea of ​​what the Moto G14 can offer post-launch.

Specifications of Moto G13

The Moto G13 features a 6.5-inch LCD display with a centered punch-hole cutout, offering a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. It now runs on Android 13 OS and Motorola guarantees an upgrade to Android 14 with three years of security updates.

In terms of photography, the Moto G13 features a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. And there is an 8 megapixel sensor on the front of the phone. The connectivity of the phone includes dual SIM support, 4G compatibility, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1 and GNSS. For power backup, the Moto G13 has a large 5,000mAh battery, but charging is limited to 10W.
