OnePlus is rumored to launch its next flagship, the OnePlus 12, later this year. Some recent reports indicate that the launch event of this smartphone will be held in China next December. But buyers in the global market will have to wait a little longer for this handset, as OnePlus’ high-end Android phone is expected to hit markets outside of China in February next year. However, OnePlus has not yet confirmed any information about this. But before the launch, various information about the OnePlus 12 5G started leaking. Recently, the design renders of this flagship have been revealed. And now more specifications and features of OnePlus 12 have come out.
OnePlus 12 5G Specifications and Features (Expected)
OnePlus will launch its next-generation premium Android smartphone, the OnePlus 12 5G, in China later this year and in other markets early next year. SmartPrix and tipster Onlix have jointly revealed the specifications of this handset. The OnePlus 12 5G is reported to feature a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display on the front and a hole-punch cutout for the front camera at the top center of the screen.
According to reports, the device will launch with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This flagship chipset from Qualcomm will be unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit next October. The OnePlus 12 will likely be one of the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered smartphones. The Android flagship phone is said to launch with 256GB of storage based on the faster UFS 4.0 standard and up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. OnePlus 12 will run on Oxygen OS 14 custom skin based on Android 14 operating system.
For photography, it will have a triple-camera setup. Earlier leaked design renders showed that the phone has periscope lens-like cutouts on the back. SmartPrix’s report mentions that the OnePlus 12’s Hasselblad-tuned camera system will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens. And for selfies, a 32-megapixel front camera will be placed in front of the phone.
In terms of power backup, the OnePlus 12 5G will have a battery capacity of 5,400mAh, but it will offer 100W fast charging support like its predecessor. The phone will also have 50W wireless charging support. OnePlus is likely to ship a SuperVOOC charging adapter with the device. Also, the OnePlus 12 5G will get an in-display fingerprint scanner and an alert slider.
