Fast charging support up to 150W, Realme is coming with a powerful smartphone again

Earlier this year, Realme GT Neo 5 was launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Then comes the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, which is the world’s first phone with Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 processor. Now it is known that the company is planning to launch a flagship phone, which will be more powerful than the Realme GT Neo 5. It will be launched in China with the name Realme GT Neo 5 Pro. The specifications of the device have already been leaked. And now, a well-known tipster has revealed the phone’s battery capacity. He also said that the phone can come in two charging variants.

The Realme GT Neo 5 Pro can come in two charging options

Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claims the smartphone will offer a pair of 2,540 mAh cells, marketed as a 5,000 mAh (typical value) battery. He added that the device will come with 150W fast charging support. However, earlier the tipster said that the GT Neo 5 Pro will support 100W charging. So it seems likely that the phone will come with 100W and 150W charging options, as the standard Realme GT Neo 5 model is available in China in 240W and 150W charging variants.

Earlier reports by Digital Chat Station revealed that the GT Neo 5 Pro will sport a 6.74-inch OLED display, which will support 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

On the camera front, the Realme GT Neo 5 Pro will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. It is also rumored that the Realme phones with model numbers RMX3820 and RMX3823 that were recently spotted on China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) certification platform database are likely the two charging variants of the Realme GT Neo 5 Pro.

This flagship handset may enter the Chinese market in July or August. It will compete with upcoming flagship smartphones including iQOO 11s, Redmi K60 Ultra and OnePlus Ace 2 Pro upon launch.
