Samsung is currently planning to launch a new smartphone in its Galaxy M-series, called the Samsung Galaxy M55. The phone was spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform in November last year. This year, it appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) authority database, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification platform and the Google Play Console. These listings indicate that it is not long before the device hits the global market. But before any formal announcement, a well-known tipster has now revealed some key specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M55 on social media. He claims, it is going to be the slimmest model in the M-series. Let’s take a look at what else is known about the handset.
Samsung Galaxy M55 specifications and live images out
Tipster Mukul Sharma in a post from his X (formerly Twitter) handle revealed that the Samsung Galaxy M55 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and will offer 12GB of RAM. Also, the tipster claims that the device is going to be the slimmest M-series phone from the brand. The Samsung Galaxy M55 is expected to be available in Black and Blue variants. Earlier this week, a tipster shared the first look of the blue variant of the Galaxy M55. And now, he has released a few more images to showcase the device’s slim design.
Earlier, Google Play Console and Geekbench database revealed that Samsung Galaxy M55 will be powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and 8 GB RAM. The phone is expected to run on Android 14 based One UI 6 custom skin. The device’s screen is expected to support FullHD+ resolution, but its exact measurements are yet to be known. According to the FCC certification, the Samsung Galaxy M55 will support 45W fast charging. Like last year’s Samsung Galaxy M54, its successor model is likely to have a larger 6,000 mAh capacity battery.
Also according to Mukul Sharma, the South Korean company will launch the Galaxy M15 model in the country alongside the Samsung Galaxy M55. This phone has MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset and 6,000 mAh battery and is already available in Iraq market. The device with the same specifications is expected to enter the Indian market, most likely in April.
