Buying an SUV will cost more this time, this company is increasing the price of the car from April 1

From April, various automobile companies are going to hike the prices of vehicles. After Hyundai, Kia has announced a 3% price hike on all passenger cars from the first day of next month. The models under the price hike list are – Seltos, Sonet and Carens. Kia has blamed increases in raw material and supply-chain costs to drive up prices.

Explaining the price hike, Hardeep Singh Brar, National Sales and Marketing Officer, Kia India, said, “Kia continues to strive to provide premium and technologically advanced products to our esteemed customers.

“We are forced to implement partial price hikes due to persistent commodity price hikes, unfavorable exchange rates and rising input costs,” Brar added. He said that the majority of the price increase has been shouldered by the company. Kia is continuing to try so that the customers’ pockets are not strained and they can enjoy the convenience of driving.

Incidentally, till now Kia has managed to sell 11.6 lakh passenger cars in Indian and foreign markets combined. Their most popular car, Seltos, has already become the traveling companion of 6,13,000 customers. The Sonet and Carens which are at the next position have sold 3,95,000 units and 1,59,000 units respectively so far.
