The Xiaomi 13 series has been particularly appreciated among buyers for its impressive camera. The Pro and 13 Ultra versions of this series use a 1-inch image sensor as the main camera. Meanwhile, the camera of the Xiaomi 14 series is also rumored to be upgraded. However, sources claim that there is no change, Xiaomi may use the same 1-inch camera sensor in its next flagship.
The Xiaomi 14 series is unlikely to feature a 1.33-inch image sensor
Digital Chat Station claims that the much-anticipated 1.33-inch camera sensor (not to be confused with 1/1.33-inch) is still in the research and development (R&D) stage. As a result, it is unlikely to feature in the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series of phones. So it will come with a 1-inch sensor like the Xiaomi 13 series.
The tipster also noted that the innovative algorithm of the Nubia Z50 Ultra’s 35mm primary camera, which was launched last March, outperformed even the 1-inch sensor in some cases. As a result, it is expected that Nubia’s next flagship smartphone will come with a better camera system.
