Xiaomi launched their flagship Xiaomi 17 series last month. The lineup includes three models – Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The brand is currently working on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra as the top-end model of the series. This flagship phone may have satellite connectivity and like the Pro model in the series, it is also expected to have dual displays. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra model was recently spotted on a certification site, from where some of its features have been revealed.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra model may have satellite connectivity
A tipster has shared some information about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra on Chinese social media platform Weibo. According to his post, the upcoming device has appeared on a certification site with the model number 25128PNA1C. According to this certification site, the phone will allow calls without any cellular network connectivity. It will also support satellite connectivity to send messages through Tiantong and BeiDou services. It is likely that only the Chinese variant will get this satellite feature, but the global model will not have this feature.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Specifications (Expected)
Reports about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra suggest that it will come with satellite connectivity. For photography, the smartphone is expected to have a quad-camera setup at the back, which will include a 200-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel periscope camera.
For performance, the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Ultra phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Besides, the other features of the device are expected to be similar to the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max that was unveiled in China last month. That is, it can have a large 6.9-inch AMOLED display, up to 16 GB of RAM and a maximum of 1 TB of storage support. Power backup can be provided by a massive 7,000mAh battery with 120W wired and wireless charging support.
