Call-message will go without SIM, Xiaomi phones finally support satellite connectivity

Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro were launched in China in November last year. The company also brought a variant of the Xiaomi 14 Pro with a special titanium frame. Meanwhile, Xiaomi 14 Ultra was released yesterday. Simultaneously two models named Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Special Edition and Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Special Edition Satellite Communication have been unveiled. The special edition of the Pro model is an upgraded version of the previous Titanium model, which offers satellite communication. Hence the new variant is slightly more expensive than the previous one. Let’s find out how much the phone is selling at.

Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Special Edition Satellite Communication launched

The Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Special Edition Satellite Communication model has been priced at 6,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 80,610), which makes it 500 Yuan (roughly Rs. 5,760) more expensive than the regular Titanium variant. Incidentally, the only 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage model of the Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Special Edition launched last year is priced at 6,499 Yuan (about Rs. 74,850).

The latest Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Special Edition Satellite Communication comes as an alternative to the older non-satellite model, which was sold in limited quantities last year due to low production despite high demand. Those who are still interested in the Titanium variant of the Xiaomi 14 Pro can opt for it now. The phone will enable users to communicate via satellite from non-networked locations in an emergency. However, the company has not released any information about the availability of this model yet.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium Special Edition goes on sale in China on March 12 at 10 am (local time). Priced at 8,799 Yuan (roughly Rs. 1,01,340), it offers 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. It is rumored that while the Xiaomi 14 Pro won’t hit the global market, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra model will. It will be unveiled internationally on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) event.
