iPhone users are soon going to benefit from advanced artificial intelligence (AI) based features on their devices. Because Apple is planning to release their latest iOS 18 software version next month. The new operating system will include on-device AI capabilities for the iPhone, iPad, Macbook and Watch series. This marks a significant upgrade, as until now only Android users have had access to on-device AI features. The upcoming iOS 18 powered iPhone will offer users a bunch of on-device AI features, which will make their tasks easier.
iPhone users can now enjoy new AI features with iOS 18 software version
Bloomberg journalist Mark Garman revealed in his report that among the notable features of iOS 18 version is the Notification Summarization Tool, which will provide a summary of all notifications received on the iPhone. The voice assistant, Siri, will see improvements in conversation by increasing user interaction.
Also, iOS 18 will bring AI-powered photo editing tools to the iPhone, which will enable real-time photo editing and, like the Google Pixel 8 series, it will also have the ability to change the photo background. Apple is likely in talks with Google and Open AI to integrate on-device AI features, including Gemini AI or ChatGPT-40, though no official announcement has been made yet.
In addition to AI features, iOS 18 will bring significant updates to local apps including Mail, Notes, Photos and Fitness, as well as improvements to Apple Maps and adding a feature to solve complex math problems in the Calculator app.
Meanwhile, Apple hasn't launched a budget iPhone since 2022. However, various reports suggest that the company is working on a new budget range of iPhones. This upcoming iPhone is called iPhone SE 4 and is expected to be released in the first half of next year. However, the price of the upcoming iPhone SE 4 has been revealed before the launch. Also, Apple's upcoming budget iPhone is expected to have better specifications than all previous iPhone SE models. These improvements will be most visible in the phone's design and battery department.
