Apple fail! Samsung's new security features will be the best in the smartphone market

Apple has always been praised for offering the best device security. For this, Tim Cook's company relies on advanced Face ID technology. But the US tech giant may soon lose its title of 'Best Security Provider'. In fact, it is reported that Samsung is bringing a new Face ID with more secure and advanced security features to compete with Apple's Face ID technology.

After all, Apple's Face ID sensor takes up less space on iPhones with a wide notch or dynamic island design, but takes up a lot of screen space when compared to phones with punch-hole cutouts. But it is said to take much less space than the face ID technology developed by the South Korean tech giant called PolarID.

Samsung brings PolarID Face ID technology

According to a post shared on the X platform by tipster Haizaki Ryouhei, Samsung will launch its new PolarID Face ID technology with the Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone in 2025. In this case, PolarID will not use any additional sensors like Apple's Face Eye. Therefore, the notch will not occupy much space between the cutouts. The tipster also said that the technology is currently in the pre-market stage.

According to the post, Samsung's latest PolarID technology will be more secure and provide effective performance than FaceID and other forms of face recognition. Additionally, this technology will combine the computational power of Qualcomm Snapdragon and the manufacturing capabilities of Samsung LSI (LSI / System Large-Scale Integration).

Meanwhile, another tipster, Sawyer Galox, claims that the new PolarID technology will not be available with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra model, but with the Galaxy S26 Ultra flagship mobile slated for 2026.

The upcoming Samsung PolarID is claimed to beat Apple Face ID. Meanwhile, there are rumors that Team Cook is planning to introduce a redesigned under-screen / punch-hole security sensor for their next generation iPhone models. As a result, time will tell who will ace!
