In the Apple eco-system, users get the benefit of connecting every device to each other. The benefits that Android device owners have been deprived of for so long. But now it is heard to launch a special feature for Windows (Windows) and Android (Android) users. Thanks to which Android smartphones and tablets can be connected to Windows 11 OS laptops or PCs and used as webcams. In this regard, Windows Insider has confirmed through a recent blog post that – “Microsoft is planning to roll out this feature gradually.”
Android smartphones can be used as webcams on Windows PCs
According to reports, the upcoming feature will allow Android phones or tablets to be used as video apps by connecting them wirelessly to any PC or laptop running Windows 11 operating system. In terms of functionality, this feature is similar to Apple’s Continuity Camera feature, which allows users to use the iPhone as a MacBook web camera.
It is reported that once the connection between the two devices is established, you can switch between the rear and front cameras. In addition, Microsoft has informed that users can pause video streaming from mobile or tablet. Besides, you can watch the integrated video effects through the used Android device.
Incidentally, Microsoft is currently testing this new feature under the Insider Program. Hence we expect to announce its official rollout very soon.
