Samsung has rolled out the OneUI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S21 series devices in Europe, the US and their home country of South Korea over the past few days. And now the company has released this update for Galaxy S21 users in India. This update brings several changes, but the most interesting one is that this update adds some of the latest Galaxy AI features that the company recently released to devices launched in the early 2021 market. The new update to the Samsung Galaxy S21 series has added some new AI features including Circle to Search
The One UI 6.1 update firmware version for three models Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is – G996BXXUAGXDA / G996BOXMAGXDA / G996BXXUAGXDA. The update is approximately 2.2 GB in size and also includes the April,2024 security patch. Notably, the toned-down version, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is yet to receive the update.
The One UI 6.1 update brings a popular Galaxy AI feature called 'Circle to Search' to the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. Let us know, with the help of this feature, users can draw a circle around any object displayed on their phone screen and search for more information about the object. Easily search for anything without closing the app and do more, including copying text from images. To enable this feature the user needs to tap and hold the home button or the navigation handle (depending on which setting is being used).
Along with the new update, the latest version of the inbuilt Gallery app for Samsung Galaxy S21 series phones has also received some AI-powered image editing features. By tapping the 'i' button below an image, the user will get recommendations like colorize, star trail and more. The updated Gallery app will let you copy an object from a photo and paste it elsewhere.
The built-in video editor also has some new features. Samsung Galaxy S21 series users can change the video playback speed of an entire video or a part of it. The video editor allows you to export files to other Galaxy devices and continue editing on them. Users can apply effects and frames to the wallpaper to blur the background of the subject.
Also, the Samsung Health app on the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup of phones will now allow the user to compete with themselves through their previous workout records. After the update the Calendar app will allow adding two custom stickers for each date. And in the Reminder app, users can pin frequently used categories.
