Realme launched the Realme GT Neo 5G under the performance-focused GT-series in February last year. As an upgrade of the phone, the company has started preparing to bring the Realme GT Neo 6 series to the market. Realme’s GT phones have always offered high-end specifications. And in the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 series, there is a big indication that it is not different.
Realme GT Neo 6 Series Processor Name and Screen Resolution
Tipster Digital Chat Station claims in its Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) post that the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 series will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor (SM8635) and offer a 1.5K resolution screen. Recently, a new phone from Realme with model number RMX3851 appeared on Geekbench benchmarking database. Which is believed to be on the GT Neo 6 series model. According to the benchmark listing, it is expected to use the SM8635 processor. With a single-core score of 1,512 and a multi-core score of 3,799, the device hints at high-performance capabilities.
The processor is composed of 3.01 speed Cortex-X4 cores, four 2.61 clock speed Cortex-A720 cores and three 1.84 GHz Cortex-A 520 cores and its software is code-named “Pineapple”. Note that the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 uses the same core, albeit with a higher frequency. For graphics, this chip is paired with an Adreno 735 GPU, which is a slight downgrade from the Adreno 750 on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. So it is believed to be Snapdragon 8S Gen 3.
Compared to the predecessor Realme GT Neo 5 series, the Neo 6 series is expected to offer significant upgrades. Last year’s Realme GT Neo 5 debuted with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, targeting mid-range customers with a starting price of 2,499 Yuan (roughly Rs. 28,800). Later comes the Realme GT Neo 5 SE phone with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, which targets the more budget-friendly segment and starts at 1,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 23,430).
