After 12 years of name change, this time Huawei will launch smartphones with a new identity

Huawei officially announced its new flagship smartphone series yesterday (April 15), which is called the Huawei Pura. In fact, it has been reported that their iconic P-series will be rebranded as Huawei Pura from now on. The Chinese smartphone brand also shared a teaser on social media to confirm the arrival of the Huawei Pura 70 as the first phone in the new lineup. Like the previous P-series flagship, the new Pura lineup is expected to include multiple models. Incidentally, the Huawei P series of smartphones was first launched in 2012. And the Huawei P60, Huawei P60 Pro and Huawei P60 Art unveiled last year are the latest models of the P-series. The Chinese smartphone maker has confirmed the arrival of the new series but has not confirmed when it will be launched. However, there have been hints about this through some sources.

Huawei Pura 70 series may enter the market in April

According to recent reports, several Huawei-authorized experience stores in Beijing have said that the Huawei Pura 70 series could be launched as early as April. Another employee of one such store in Beijing claims that the Huawei Pura 70 series will be released on April 18.

The report also revealed that blind ordering events have been initiated in home market China. Where interested buyers can submit their phone number to the sales staff, so that the staff can inform the Huawei Pura 70 series as soon as it arrives in the store. However, it cannot be said for sure that all of them will get the phone. It will depend on the number of units and order of reservation.

The Huawei Pura 70 series is believed to have four models – the standard Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+ and Pura 70 Ultra. Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has already leaked the color options, storage and memory configuration of the Pura 70 series. Notably, Huawei’s official video announcing the launch of the new branding indicated that the upcoming phones will feature a triangular camera module.
