Samsung is planning to refresh its entire mid-range lineup with the launch of several new smartphones soon, including the Galaxy A55, A35, M55 and F55. Most of the upcoming Samsung phone models have already been spotted on various certification platforms around the world For example, the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A45 have appeared at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bluetooth SIG, US FCC, Indonesia’s TKDN and Korea’s NRRA. And now the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G phone has appeared on the platform with Thailand’s NBTC and China’s MIIT certification. Let’s find out what these certifications reveal about the device.
Samsung Galaxy A55 5G appears in the database of NBTC and MIIT
The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G phone with model numbers SM-A556E and SM-A5560 has been listed on Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and China’s MIIT certification platforms. However, no information regarding features or specifications has been revealed from the listings on both the sites. However, several details of the phone have already been revealed.
Samsung Galaxy A55 5G Specifications and Features (Probable)
Apart from the public certification, the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G has been spotted on Geekbench with an Exynos 1480 processor. The chipset consists of four different performance cores with a clocking speed of 2.5 GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at 2.05 GHz. It also revealed the presence of Xclipse 530 GPU, 8 GB RAM and Android 14. TUV Rheinland, China Compulsory Certification (3C) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) listings reveal that the phone will come with a 25W fast charging adapter.
Some earlier reports indicated that the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G will sport a 6.5-inch FullHD+ OLED (OLED) display, which may offer a 120Hz refresh rate. It may come with a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 5-megapixel macro camera. And for selfies, a 32-megapixel front camera will probably be located in front of the phone.
Some renders of the Samsung Galaxy A55 have also been leaked, showing that there are no significant changes compared to its predecessor. This phone will also follow the same design language with a vertical camera setup, flat edges and a punch-hole display. The Galaxy A55 is expected to debut in three color options – Assam Ice Blue, Assam Lilac and Assam Navy.
Note that the Samsung Galaxy A55 may be launched in the second quarter of this year along with the Samsung Galaxy A35. However, nothing has been confirmed by Samsung yet. Ahead of the official announcement, more information about the handsets is expected to leak over the next few weeks.
