Honda Scooter and Motorcycle India or HMSI has officially announced the launch of the new OBD2 version of the Dio to meet the new emission norms. The new model of the scooter is priced at Rs 70,211 (ex-showroom). The Honda Dio can be chosen in three variants – Standard, Deluxe and Smart. The second and third variants are priced at Rs 74,212 and Rs 77,712 (ex-showroom) respectively. The scooter comes with the latest smart key system.

2023 Honda Dio: What’s Smart?
Like the Activa, the Honda Smart Key is offered in the new DO. The four-wheelers usually have the same features as the DO. Let’s take a look at what benefits users can enjoy with the addition of new technology.
1. Smart Find: Having a smart find feature can identify your vehicle even in a crowd of thousands. The scooter’s four winkers will blink twice to indicate its location as soon as the answer back button on the Smart Key Assist is pressed.
2. Smart Unlock: Smart Unlock is offered as a new technology feature of the Smart Key system. This allows the scooter to be locked and unlocked without any key. If not operated within 20 seconds of reactivation, the scooter will automatically deactivate.
3. Smart Start: If the distance between the smart key and the scooter is less than two meters, the rider can easily start the engine. In that case, turning the knob to the ignition position and pushing the start button will start the engine of the scooter.
4. Smart Safe: The new Honda DO comes with mapped smart ECU. This will prevent the scooter from being stolen. It has an immobilizer system. which will prevent the engine from being started using any other key.
