Ferrato Defy 22 electric scooter to take on Ola, Bajaj, launch this week

EV startup Okaya EV is rebranding itself as OPG Mobility. The company will sell electric scooters under the Ferrato brand. The company has already introduced an electric motorcycle called the Disruptor. The company has now announced that the new electric scooter will be launched at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo. Which is named Ferrato Defy 22. The teaser of this scooter has already been released on social media.

As seen in the teaser, the scooter has four LED daytime running lamps. Two are on the apron and the other two are on the handlebars. It is going to come in a bright red color, but is expected to have other color options as well. The scooter will feature an LCD instrument cluster, which will display the speed, battery level and whether the scooter is in park or reverse. Also available is an LED tail lamp with LED turn indicators.

Notably, the low-speed Freedom LI has been announced to be sold alongside electric scooters such as the high-speed Faast F4, F3, F2T, F2F, and F2B under the Ferrato brand. The Disruptor Electric Motorcycle is also a part of the same brand. The Ferrato Disruptor is currently priced at Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Currently, the bike is available in Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune and Bangalore. The Ferrato Disruptor features a 6.4 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), which delivers a peak torque output of 228 Nm and a regular torque of 45 Nm. The company claims that the maximum speed of this motorcycle is 95 kmph.
