Many people know that India is the largest two wheeler market in the world. Every year there is a big wave of sales of bikes and scooters in this country. As traffic increases, riding becomes more challenging due to road congestion. Hence, it is not possible for law enforcement agencies to monitor all motorists equally. As a result, they have to be harassed by the police when they go out on the streets. To avoid this, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has introduced several rules. Which is very important for every two-wheeler driver to know. This report sheds light on that.
- No documents are required to be carried
No need to carry any documents like driving license pollution under control certificate. According to the law, the necessary documents can be saved in a mobile application like Digi-locker or mParivahan while driving. All driver information is available from there. So if the police wants to see it, if you submit the digital document from this app, it will be legally acceptable. If the police still refuses to comply, refer to section 139 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989.
- There is no problem if the document is not physically or digitally
If you forget to take your mobile with you in a hurry, what will happen in that case? Even in that case, it is possible to avoid police harassment. Because if all your information is saved in a mobile application like Digi-locker or mParivahan, the police can see all the information through your mParivahan or e-challan. They will come out after entering the vehicle number.
- Invoice payment
If the challan is deducted due to violation of traffic rules, the police can send e-challan. Earlier, to deposit this challan, one had to go to court. As a result, it would take a whole day. But now challan can be submitted through online apps brought by various state governments. Payment can also be made online. So there is no reason to worry.
