There will come a day in the future when electric vehicles will outnumber traditional petrol bikes and scooters on Indian roads. Almost every day, different companies are coming up with new two-wheeler products. This time the arrival of another new electric scooter is confirmed. Ahead of the official launch, Emobi, a Bengaluru-based EV two-wheeler startup, showcased their new electric scooter, Kyari. Let’s get to the details of it.
According to Emobi, Kyari is a suitable model for use in the business-to-business or B2B segment. That is, it will be marketed for home delivery or product delivery. However, the target company also makes two-wheelers suitable for personal use. This e-scooty made its debut at the ‘India Mobility Expo 2024’. The company is focusing on increasing its presence in the last mile delivery segment.
The company has not revealed the exact launch date of Emobi Kyari. However, it is currently reported that its development has not been completed. It may use a swappable battery. The company is currently working hand in hand with Honda and Misashi to expand their network and launch new models.
Kyari will feature innovative designs. Due to the flat long seat, the driver will not have any problem sitting. There is also a system for carrying more goods. Its length, width and height are 1870 mm, 705 mm and 1010 mm respectively.
Technical features of the Emobi Kyari include telescopic front suspension and dual shock rear absorbers. The power source is a pair of 1.3 kWh Honda e:swap batteries. There is also a 4.2 kW spindle motor, which will produce 18.7 Nm of torque. A top speed of 75 kmph with a range of 85 kmph.
