BMW Motorrad is gearing up to launch a pair of awesome bikes in India. As the latest models of the German company, BMW F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure are going to enter the country very soon. Bookings for these two middleweight adventure motorcycles have started. As a result, it is expected that the price will be announced in the next few days.
The BMW F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure will replace the F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure respectively, which have been on sale in India for many years. BMW's new two bikes have 895 cc parallel twin engines. It will produce 105 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 93 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. It will be accompanied by a six-speed gearbox and B-directional quickshifter.
Power has increased by 10 hp and torque by 1 Nm compared to the BMW 850 GS range. While the standard model has a 14.5 liter fuel tank, the Adventure version can hold 23 liters of oil. It is huge in appearance and weighs 246 kg. Compared to that, the standard model is 27 kg lighter. The BMW 900 GS is much lighter than other adventure bikes in the segment.
Being an off-road focused motorcycle, the F 900 GS gets fully adjustable USD fork and monoshock suspension. On the other hand, the F 900 GS Adventure offers electronically adjustable suspension for long distance touring. Both the bikes have features like cornering ABS, traction control, various riding modes, and a 6.5-inch TFT display. The price of this bike range in India can start from Rs 13.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
