Delivery of Ampere Nexus electric scooter has started in India. Ampere Electric is the first to start delivery of this battery powered scooter in Bangalore. Later, the company has assured that it will start the work of reaching electric scooters in other parts of the country. This premium model was launched in April. Ampere Nexus is based on a completely new platform.
Ampere Nexus has started shipping
The Ampere Nexus is sold in two variants in India – EX and ST. The second is the top spec version of the scooter. While the Ampere Nexus EX was launched at an introductory price of Tk 1.10 lakh, it currently costs Tk 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas the price of Ampere Nexus ST has been increased from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Ampere Nexus ST features a 7-inch TFT display. Whereas the EX variant has a 6.2-inch PMVA screen. This display comes with Bluetooth connectivity and 5 riding modes – Eco, City, Power, Limp Home and Reverse. There is hydraulic telescopic suspension and rear dual shock absorbers. 12-inch alloy wheels with front disc and rear drum brakes are present.
Incidentally, the Ampere Nexus has a 3 kWh battery pack as its power source. From which a maximum range of 136 km will be available. A 15 amp charger will take 3.3 hours to fully charge the battery. There is also an option to purchase a 25 amp charger. Both variants have two types of electric motors. One is 3.3 kW and the other is 4.0 kW. The maximum speed is 93 km per hour.
