It is reported that Airtel and Ericsson have joined hands to provide better services to customers using Ericsson's 3G core network in India.
Airtel 5G Standalone Service
Through this joint venture, Erikson's Dual-Mod 3G Core, will help to increase Airtel network power, support network sliding and introduce new cash opportunities through API expansion. As part of the agreement, Erickson will also release their signaling controllers and SA-capable charging and policy policy to strengthen Airtel's 3G cashing plan.

On the other hand, the head of Ericsson's Southeast Asia, Oceania and India's market region said, “The initiative is an important step towards Airtel's network 3G standalone preparation and the future. Ericsson's Dual-Mode 3G Core Network will enable cashing through sliding-based services and network API. ”
