Citroën India Brand Director Shishir Mishra said, “We are excited to welcome Mahendra Singh Dhoni to the Citroen family. Incidentally, Citroen currently sells four cars in India. These are C3, eC3, C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross. Recently, the company announced a price hike of Rs 4,000 to Rs 17,000 per model. Their parent company Stellantis said the price increase was due to increase in input costs and other costs of running the business.
Let us know that Citroen Basalt is going to enter the market as the successor of C3 and C3 Aircross. It will be sold in India and South America. If everything goes well, it will enter the market in the second half of this year. It has a 1.2 liter three cylinder turbocharged engine. Mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, the output is 108 bhp and 205 Nm. On the other hand, the 6-speed manual transmission option reduces the torque to 190 Nm.
