Toyota Innova is one of the most demanded models in the Indian MPV car market. Apart from personal use, this premium vehicle is also in huge demand among fleet operators. The car is available in two models in India – Innova Crysta and the new generation Innova Hycross. The second model has a hybrid powertrain, which appeals to the current generation of buyers. However, according to reports from various auto portals, any model of Innova currently booked will require a wait of 5 to 15 months for delivery.
Toyota Innova Hycross
The Toyota Innova Hycross is offered in two powertrain options – a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 2.0-litre strong hybrid variant. If you choose the non hybrid version, the waiting period is 6 months. But if you buy an eco-friendly hybrid model, you can wait up to 15 months.
This long waiting period is believed to be due to the huge demand for the hybrid technology of the Toyota Innova Hycross. Meanwhile, Toyota has recently postponed the bookings of its top line ZX and ZX (O) variants for the second time. Prices range from Rs 19.77 lakh to Rs 30.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
Toyota Innova Crysta
The Toyota Innova Crysta offers a more conventional driving experience with a 2.4-litre diesel engine that is well-established in the MPV market. If you book this model now, you have to be patient for up to five months to get the keys. The car is currently available in four trims. Price Rs 19.99 lakh to Rs 26.55 lakh (ex-showroom).
