ByteDance planning with Reliance Industries to invest in the India operations of its short video platform. According to the TechCrunch report, China’s ByteDance and Reliance started up conversations late last month and still have not finalized the deal.
At the end of July, the Indian government banned more 47 Apps that were working as clones of banned Apps and examines a list of over 250 apps. Recently, Mi Browser and Baidu also join the list of Chinese Apps that were banned in India.
Trump will prohibit transactions with ByteDance
US President Donald Trump revealed bans on US transactions with the China-based owners of messaging app WeChat and TikTok last week. According to reports, Trump also has given Microsoft 45 days to complete all of the purchase of TikTok’s US operations.
Apart from Microsoft, Twitter also gets in touch with the TikTok’s Chinese owner ByteDance to express interest in acquiring the US operations of the video-sharing app.
