Finally, Build Your Dreams India or BYD’s fleet of shiny electric cars has arrived in the Indian market. Name – BYD Seal EV. It is a sedan in terms of design. It was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023. The car comes in two battery options – the Dynamic Range model has a 61.44 kWh battery. Again the 82.56 kWh battery is available in two variants – Premium Range and Performance. 1.25 lakh for booking the car.

Rear wheel drive powertrains are offered in the Dynamic Range and Premium Range variants. While the Performance variant has an all wheel drive option. The outputs of the three variants are different. Their ex-showroom prices have been pegged at Tk 41 lakh, Tk 45.55 lakh and Tk 53 lakh respectively.
The output of the Seal EV Dynamic Range is 201 bhp and 310 Nm. The Premium Range will produce 308 bhp of power and 360 Nm of torque. Again, the Performance variant will get 522 bhp of power and 670 Nm of torque.
Dynamic Range is claimed to give a maximum range of 510 km on a full charge. It takes 7.5 seconds to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h. The Premium Range model with a range of 650 km is able to reach this speed in 5.9 seconds. There the Performance variant takes only 3.8 seconds. It can cover a distance of 580 km on a full charge.
BYD has offered the Seal EV in four color options. Namely – Aurora White, Cosmos Black, Atlantis Gray and Arctic Blue. The car has already received a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP and ANCAP crash tests. Notable features in the cabin include a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a digital driver display and rotating touchscreen infotainment system. There is also a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, wireless charging and advanced ADAS features.
