Bajaj Electric sells the Chetak scooter to perpetuate the historic name in its two-wheeler lineup. It is the company’s only electric model. Bajaj updated it a few months ago. A top-spec variant has been launched as Chetak Premium. And according to recent reports, Bajaj is planning to expand its portfolio of electric two-wheelers.
Ola Electric
Ola Electric is gearing up to hold a new launch event this month. Ola has released multiple teasers. It is speculated that the company may bring two new color options to their offering on the S1 Air. It is currently available in five paint schemes to choose from. Meanwhile, 10 color schemes are available on the S1 and S1 Pro. Meanwhile, the S1 Air scooter is expected to be launched in a variant with a 4.5 kW motor.
Simple Energy
After the launch of Simple One, Bengaluru startup company Simple Energy has confirmed the launch of two more new electric scooters. These will sit below their existing Simple One in the company’s lineup. Hence the reduction in its specifications, battery pack and range can be noticed. Priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), Simple One claims a range of 212 km.
Honda’s two new electric scooters
Honda will launch two new electric scooters in 2023-24. Both the models will be manufactured in India. The first could be the Activa Electric. The new models will be based on platform E. which will be used in future as well. Honda’s first electric scooter in the country will have a fixed battery, while the second model will offer a swappable battery option.
