Hypercar means speed storm. 300 km per hour acceleration from a standstill in the blink of an eye on a racing track, with a left-hander. One such hypercar model in the market is the Bugatti Bolide. On the track this car can produce 1,801 bhp of power. In a word, what is incredible. But it takes tiger tamarind to tame a wild ole’ like that. So it uses world’s largest carbon brakes to stop such a high power vehicle. Which is made by Brembo company.

Bugatti said they used eight-piston monobloc calipers at the front and six-piston calipers at the rear to stabilize the Bolide hypercar’s wheels. They are made of nickel coated aluminum. The company claims it has a 15.3-inch carbon disc. However, the front wheel braking pad and rotor are slightly wider.

Incidentally, Bugatti was the first to bring the Bolide car in 2020. Since then it has appeared several times and grabbed the limelight wherever it went. Weighing in at 1,451 kg, this car is capable of generating 1,801 bhp of power to fully assert its capabilities in any weather. The model delivers this same output on the racing track even in monsoons.

Bugatti plans to deliver the Bolide to customers from 2024. Only 40 models were made. The price per model is 40 lakh dollars. In terms of Indian rupees which stands at around 33 crores. Regarding the car’s braking system, Brembo’s chief operating officer Mario Allmondo said, “We had to re-engineer the entire system to handle the speed of this high-powered car.”
