India Transport Corporation Limited or BSNL finally launched the ESIM service in India. Customers of Tamil Nadu Circle will now receive this service. It is expected that the service will be spread slowly in other circles. Keep in mind, long before BSNL, three private telecom companies, Jio, Airtel, and VI have launched ESIM services in India. Through this service, mobile users will get digital facilities easily. Network connectivity can be found on phone, smartwatch or other IOT devices without any hassle of any physical SIM card.
Where and how to get BSNL ESIM?
Customers need to go to the nearest BSNL service center to get ESIM. In addition, some important things should be kept along with the ESIM-supported smartphone or smartwatch and valid identity card (for digital KYC verification).
BSNL customers will receive a QR code when the verification is completed. Scan it will be activated on the device. Then the device will be available for internet and calling without physical SIM.
Who will get BSNL ESIM?
BSNL has said that both old and new, both customers will be able to apply for ESIM service. However, it is not yet clear whether the charge will be taken by switching from the physical SIM to ESIM.
ESIM Service Problems in India
Although various telecom operators are launching ESIM services in India, there are still some challenges. One of the biggest problems is to transfer ESIM while changing the device. At this time the customer has to get enough velocity for verification.
