The BSA Gold Star 650 was launched in India at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom) at an event attended by Anand Mahindra. The BSA Gold Star 650 will be a hit with retro bike lovers. From the round headlights to the shape of the fuel tank, the curved fenders give it an attractive look. While the Insignia Red and Highland Green color options of the motorcycle are available for Rs 2.99 lakh, the Midnight Black and Dawn Silver paint will cost Rs 3.12 lakh. And the Shadow Black is priced at Rs 3.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
The BSA Gold Star 650 is based on a cradle frame. Suspension includes telescopic forks at the front and twin rear shock absorbers at the rear. The bike will run on spoked wheels. Among the features, the company has kept dual channel ABS standard for safety. Semi-digital instrument cluster, and USB charging port will be found in this bike.
Besides, single disc brakes are present on both the wheels to handle the braking duties. When it comes to performance, the BSA Gold Star will run on a four-valve, single cylinder engine. It will produce 45 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It has a five speed gearbox. The top speed is said to be more than 160 km.
