Big shock for OnePlus fans, sale of this popular product is stopped

OnePlus, the popular Chinese smartphone maker under BBK Electronics, may no longer be interested in selling Smart TVs in India. In fact the company today removed the television and display categories from their official Indian website. As expected, OnePlus is going to make several changes in their business strategy in India.

In 2019 the company launched their first OnePlus TV Q1 series. Later they added different ranges of SmartTV models to the portfolio. However, the company has not launched any new TV model since last year. Now again OnePlus India has removed the old Smart TV models from their website. So it is believed that the company is going to reevaluate their products. Note that the organization has not yet made any official announcement in this regard.

Meanwhile, Realme, another subsidiary of BBK Electronics, has also stopped manufacturing and selling its smart TVs in India. However, OnePlus and Realme TVs are still listed on third-party e-commerce platforms. It is believed that after these no new smart TVs will be sold on these third party e-commerce sites.

Incidentally, excluding other products, it can be observed that OnePlus has had a profound impact on the Indian smartphone market. According to Counterpoint Research’s monthly India smartphone tracker, the company has seen 68 percent growth in the second quarter of 2023.

Based on this success, OnePlus has launched two smartphones, OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R, in 2024. The company also announced the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 device in early April, likely to be priced under Rs 30,000 in India.
