Big decision by Bajaj, name change from Pulsar NS400Z to Dominar NS400Z

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z ended the long wait and was launched in India earlier this month. It comes as the company's flagship model. It goes without saying how popular the Pulsar is even abroad. As a result, within a few weeks of its release in India, Bajaj has started preparing to send the bike to other countries. Bajaj Auto has confirmed that the bike will be launched in international markets including Latin America, Africa, Europe and ASEAN countries. But interestingly, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is going to make its debut in Brazil with a different name.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z will be sold in Brazil as Bajaj Dominar NS400Z

Bajaj Auto CEO Rakesh Sharma said that the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z will be launched in Brazil as the Dominar NS400Z. Earlier, while announcing the launch of this bike in India, Sharma had said that all Pulsar brand bikes will be sold under the name Domina in Brazil. For example Pulsar NS160 and Pulsar NS200 have been launched in the country as Dominar 160 and Dominar 200 respectively.

Bajaj also sells the Dominar 400 in Brazil. And that's why Bajaj will benefit from differentiating the streetfighter bike called NS400Z. Companies change product names in different country markets depending on local copyright laws. In the Brazilian market, Bajaj sells the Pulsar-branded models as Dominators, but in Malaysia, they sell them as Modenas models. Modenas is Bajaj's local partner in Malaysia. They assemble this bike.

Driving License New Rules India

The models in the Bajaj Pulsar range share the same features as the Indian version except for some changes in local regulations for the sale of motorcycles in Brazil. The new Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z shares the Dominar 400's engine, chassis, gearbox, rearview mirror and other important components. Along with this comes a new rear subframe, new suspension and braking setup, new LCD controls and other new features.

2024 KTM 250 Duke launched

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z features various riding modes – Sport, Road, Rain and Off Road. There is also switchable traction control, turn-by-turn navigation with Bluetooth connectivity. The bike will be powered by a 373 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled motor that produces a maximum power of 39 bhp and 35 Nm of torque. 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. The cheapest 400cc bike is priced at Tk 1.85 lakh ex-showroom in India.
