The country’s best-selling model is occupied by the hatchback even at a time when the trend of buying SUVs is increasing. Maruti Suzuki Baleno grabbed the top spot by selling 19,630 units in the previous month. Tata Punch comes second in the list. Last month, 17,978 models of this best-selling SUV were sold in the country.
At number three is the name of WagonR. Maruti Suzuki has sold a total of 17,756 units of this hatchback in the first month of 2024. Tata Nexon occupies the fourth position. 17,182 were sold in January. Next is Maruti Suzuki Dzire. 16,773 units were sold.
Maruti Suzuki Swift came in sixth place. Last month, Maruti was able to hand over the keys of this company car to 15,370 buyers. Maruti Suzuki Brezza has got the seventh place. 15,303 units were sold in the previous month. Besides, in terms of sales Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is eighth (14,632), Mahindra Scorpio is ninth (14,293 units) and Maruti Suzuki Fronx is tenth (13,643 units).
