The world's first CNG bike, the Bajaj Freedom 125 was launched in India not long ago. It made its debut in the country last month. However, there are already speculations of the arrival of a low-cost or low-cost variant of the Freedom. That is, Bajaj is planning to bring cheaper CNG motorcycles in the market. Now putting an end to all speculations, Bajaj CEO Rajeev Bajaj has confirmed that their second CNG bike will be launched soon, probably by the end of this financial year.

Bajaj is currently focusing on clean energy vehicles. Their goal is to produce more vehicles that do not cause pollution. The company has hinted at launching multiple variants based on the Freedom platform. The upcoming CNG bike is speculated to have a 100-110 cc engine. The styling or design is likely to remain unchanged.

According to Rajeev Bajaj, the production of Freedom 125 started in full swing in August. 8000 to 9000 units have been dispatched this month. Bajaj aims to take the number to 20,000 units. Again the company is hopeful of selling 40,000 CNG bikes a month by January. It may be noted that the company delivered around 2,000 CNG motorcycles last month.

Not much is known about Bajaj's new CNG bike. However, it has recently been spotted on the road in a camouflaged state. A number of things have been left out in an effort to cut costs and launch cheaper. For example the Freedom 125 has LED headlights while the new model is speculated to have halogen lamps. Also, while the Bajaj Freedom has a telescopic fork covered by a cover, the new bike has a simple fork gaiter and single tone color.
