Bajaj, TVS is over! Ola Electric is the number 1 e-scooter brand in India beating the big companies

Ola Electric has been leading India's electric two-wheeler market for a long time. May, 2024 as well which was seen to continue. Not only has Ola retained the top spot in terms of sales, it has also outpaced its giant rivals like TVS, Bajaj by a huge margin. According to the Centre's vehicle portal (VAHAN), 37,230 Ola electric scooters were registered in the previous month. Whereas in case of TVS and Bajaj the number is 11,812 units and 9,224 units respectively. These two companies occupy second and third place after Ola in market share.

Ola Electric's electric scooter became the best seller in May

Ather Energy and Hero MotoCorp came next in terms of sales. In May, the two companies sold 6,076 and 2,456 e-scooters respectively. Meanwhile, Ola continues to expand its dealerships in India. Each of their electric scooters in the market appeals to different categories of buyers as per the budget.

Along with the flagship, Ola S1 Pro with a bigger battery and more tech, their lineup includes the S1 X. Which are currently priced at Rs 1,45,669 and Rs 81,818 (ex-showroom) respectively. The company also sells the S1 Air. So buyers don't have to think about choosing the right electric scooter according to their ability.

It should be noted that various companies have started walking in that direction in view of Ola. As recently TVS launched their cheapest iQube variant. In addition to this, they have brought a flagship model with a battery capacity of 5.1 kWh. Bajaj Chetak 2901 is the cheapest version of Chetak.
