Pulsar is a popular name in the bike world. This series of motorcycles are being sold in the market for more than two decades. But today Bajaj gave a bad news. The company has decided to sell the Pulsar F250 bike, one of the models of the Pulsar series. The company has removed the bike from the official website. Dealers are also reportedly not being given new units. That is, if you go to the showroom, the possibility of not getting it is high.
Sale of Bajaj Pulsar F250 bike has been discontinued
Notably, the bike is also not very old. The Pulsar F250 will be launched in late 2021. The company also introduced it in the market along with another model N250. However, Bajaj said today that the sale of N250 will continue. The bike is listed on the official website. But for what reason Bajaj forced to close the F250?
Sales are down
Reportedly, the company hoped that with the launch of the F250, sales of the popular Pulsar 220F would decline and customers would opt for the F250 model. But it is the opposite. Bajaj Auto has decided to discontinue the F250 model due to the slump in sales. Whereas the demand for the Pulsar 220F shows no signs of abating.
There is a perception in the market that Indian customers prefer faired and semi-faired motorcycles. But over the past three years, consumer behavior has changed. They are opting for more aggressive and naked design bikes. As a result, the demand for semi-faired bikes has decreased in the country.
Although after discontinuing a particular model, Bajaj is known to bring it back in a new form after a few years. Whether that is the case with the F250 remains to be seen. The last ex-showroom price of the motorcycle in the market was Rs 1.44 lakh.
