They are currently developing two new EV platforms, one of which is designed specifically for e-bikes.
Ather Energy brings electric motorcycles
Ather has already filed their IPO in the market. They will sell shares worth Rs 3,100 crore. The company will build a new factory in Maharashtra with the money collected from there. While there are plenty of e-scooties in the country today, the number of good electric bikes is less. Aether Energy is coming down to fill that void.

The platform Ather is developing for electric motorcycles is called “Zenith”. It will bring power on par with petrol powered bikes in the 125-300 cc segment. On the other hand, the company will make new electric scooters under the “EL” platform. It is nearing completion and the architecture will be more versatile and help reduce costs.

While the new EL platform has new electronics and chassis, the battery and software will be carried over from the existing Ather 450 platform. The company claims this will enable them to create a variety of e-scooters. They will be customized for domestic and various international markets. However, the company has not yet announced when the bike or scooter will be launched.
