All electric two-wheelers in India are getting a price hike from today. This is due to the decrease in the amount of subsidy for the central scheme Fem-II. All electric two-wheelers will get a maximum subsidy of 15 percent from today, as per the decision of the Ministry of Heavy Industries. Earlier the amount was 40 percent. As a result, all eco-friendly bikes and scooters are expensive. So thinking about the customer’s pocket, Ather Energy (Ather Energy) launched their cheapest electric scooter. Which is named – Ather 450S. It will be priced at Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom price without subsidy). The scooter will be sold in the country as the entry-level model of the company’s 450 range.
The Ather 450S electric scooter has been launched
The Ather 450S has a 3 kWh battery. It is claimed to have a range of 115 km on a full charge. The maximum speed is 90 km per hour. Bookings for the scooter in India are set to begin from July. Bookings can be made from all authorized dealerships of the company.
Ether will also sell the new 450S with the 450X and 450X Pro Pack in the country. Company Co-Founder and CEO Tarun Mehta said, “The 450S will be sold as an entry-level variant in India. Like other models, it also offers the same quality standards. It offers segment-first tech features as an entry-level model. The scooter will provide comfortable riding and safety.”
Incidentally, the 450X and 450X ProPack will sell for Rs 1.45 lakh and Rs 1.65 lakh, respectively, as a result of subsidy cuts under the FEM-II scheme, Ether said. The company has taken this decision as the subsidy per kilowatt hour of battery has come down to Tk 10,000.
