Ather Energy has updated all their electric scooters at the beginning of the new year. The Bengaluru-based EV maker has launched its flagship and most expensive model, the 450 Apex with some changes. But the price has been kept the same. As before, this electric scooter will cost Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in the domestic market.
2025 Ather 450 Apex is launched
In addition to the 450X model, Ether has added a multi-level traction control system to their 450 Apex model. It has three modes – Rain, Road, and Rally. Their use depends on riding conditions. If you want to keep full control of the scooter in your own hands, there is the facility of turning off this system. Features include full-LED lighting, TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and Google navigation.
Ether has partnered with MRF to develop special tires for both the 450X and 450 Apex electric scooters. The name of this new tire is Zapper N E-Trade Tire. The company claims this will provide more range in real-world conditions for less rolling assistance. True battery range increased from 105 km to 130 km with the use of new tires.
Besides, other specifications remain unchanged. The Ether 450 Apex is capable of accelerating from 0-40 km/h in 2.9 seconds. It can reach a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The aluminum sub-frame of the scooter is visible from the outside thanks to the transparent side panels. Orange alloy wheels add a different dimension to the looks.
