Asus 8Z India launch confirmed, landing page goes official

Asus 8Z India launch has been confirmed, the landing page of the smartphone goes official on the company’s official website. It is the rebranded version of the Asus Zenfone 8 which already made its debut in the global market earlier this month. Asus 8Z could be run on Android 11 OS out of the box and comes in Obsidian Black, Horizon Silver color variants.

As per the microsite, Asus 8Z has a 5.9 inches Super AMOLED FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and a punch-hole selfie camera on the top left corner for a selfie camera. Under the hood, The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chipset and paired with LPDDR5 RAM + UFS 3.1 storage.


Coming to the optics, The smartphone packs a dual rear camera setup that houses a 64-Megapixel (primary) camera with an aperture of f/1.8 + 12-Megapixel (Ultrawide) sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is a 12-Megapixel selfie snapper with an f/2.5 aperture. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. Additional feature includes stereo speakers, IP68 water resistance and an optical under-display fingerprint reader.


Along with 8Z, The Taiwanese tech company might also reveal the 8Z flip which is the rebranded version of the Zenfone 8 Flip.

Coming to the Asus 8Z flip / Zenfone 8 flip specifications, The smartphone features a 6.67 inches Samsung AMOLED FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. For performance, The smartphone is driven by the Snapdragon 888 chipset and paired with up to 8GB RAM + 256GB expandable storage. In terms of camera, It has a triple rear/selfie camera setup that includes a 64-Megapixel (primary) camera + 8-Megapixel (telephoto) sensor + 12-Megapixel (ultrawide) sensor. Lastly, The device packs a 5000 mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging.
