As Hero’s first motorcycle, the new Extreme features premium features, do you know what it is?

Ahead of the launch, Hero MotoCorp released another teaser of the Xtreme 160R. The bike is launching on June 14. In the teaser, the company confirmed about two of its features. The released video shows the USD front fork of the bike. The Hero Xtreme 160R is the company’s first model to get this suspension. Meanwhile, there is a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear as before.

Hero Xtreme 160R comes with new features

The teaser of TVS Apache RTR 160 rival Xtreme 160R confirmed that its engine will use four-valve setup instead of two-valve. Earlier Hero had updated the valve setup of their Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 200T. However, no significant change in output was observed. Expect the same to be the case with the Xtreme 160R.

Like the current model, the new Hero Xtreme 160R gets a 163 cc, air-cooled engine to provide the go-go power. It produces 15 bhp of power at 8,500 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The four-valve setup is expected to further improve the bike’s top-end performance.

To handle the braking duties, the Hero Xtreme 160R gets petal type disc brakes on both wheels like the current model and a single channel ABS like the current model. Apart from the TVS Apache RTR 160, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 will compete with the Xtreme 160R after the launch. The bike is estimated to be priced between Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The current model is priced at Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom).
