The YouTube vs TikTok debate started when YouTuber Elvish Yadav posted a roast of TikTokers on his YouTube channel, comparing TikTok video-makers to rag pickers, questioning their intelligence and making fun of girls wearing make-up. In response, some tiktokers also replied the fight become more serious then one of the famous Youtuber Carryminati make a roasting video against tiktokers and the video breaks the records but the video is deleted by youtube because the video is against Youtube Cyberbullying policy.
This caused outrage people are spamming #justiceforcarry on twitter and other social media platforms and some YouTubers also supporting Carryminati but the video doesn’t come back and because of which some YouTubers also saying block TikTok and delete TikTok from your phone due to which their fans swarmed to the Play Store to give 1-star ratings to the app. Social media platforms like Twitter saw hashtags like #BlockTikTok and #DeleteTikTok trend hours on end.
After that TikTok ratings went from 4.5 to 1.2 within a couple of days. Users also discovered and shared derogatory content, which saw creators (such as Faizal Siddiqui) promoting acid attack, domestic violence, child abuse, and more. Google stepped to the occasion and fixed the app’s rating by deleting over eight million reviews those feedback doesn’t look genuine to Google.
Several publications were able to take screenshots showing the difference in the total number of reviews. A few days ago, The app had over 28 million reviews with a 1.2 rating but now it has 20 million reviews with a 4.4 rating. It seems that google deleted 8 million reviews and the Tiktok rating recovered but not completely.
